Why this work is personal…

Hi, I’m Liz — a licensed School Psychologist, special education advocate, and parent with lived neurodivergent experience. I created Shared Voices Advocacy to offer the kind of support I always wished existed: honest, clear, and grounded in both lived experience and professional expertise.

I’ve spent more than 15 years in education, working in K–12 schools and higher ed. I’ve sat in IEP meetings as a school psych, as a parent, and as someone who understands how hard it is to feel like your voice matters in a system that often doesn’t make space for it.

I’m here to help you understand what’s happening, what your rights are, and how to advocate for your child in a way that feels grounded and true to who you are. I’m not trying to be the expert in your child — you are. My job is to help you feel confident in that role.

Public schools are the heart of our communities — and every student deserves to be truly seen, supported, and included within them. I believe in collaboration over conflict and in building long-term solutions rather than quick fixes. Most of all, I believe no family should have to navigate this alone.

My work is deeply shaped by both my professional background and my lived experience navigating the world through a neurodivergent lens — and I know how powerful it can be to have support that’s rooted in empathy, knowledge, and real understanding.
